Noa Milivojev, 18, who is from Kovilj, a suburban settlement in the city of Novi Sad in Serbia, had been missing for around 20 days before her dismembered body was found.
She had called her mother on 17th June and told her that she was going to Belgarde to see her boyfriend, but then she disappeared.
Police were informed, and they questioned the boyfriend who Noa allegedly met that day, but he told them he had not seen her and that the meeting never took place.
Her mom told local media at the time she vanished: ” Her phone stopped working, maybe it was switched off or dead, we don’t know anything, but somebody must know something, and I urge them to get in touch.
But yesterday (Thursday) cops raided his apartment in Belgrade and found her body. Parts of the girl’s body had been placed in bags and other parts were in boxes where the police found them.
The suspect identified only as a 33-year-old man named O. D. was arrested, and will be brought for questioning to the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade.

He is suspected of ‘aggravated murder in a cruel and insidious manner’ and faces life imprisonment.
When the police came to his apartment and he was confronted with the evidence, he admitted then that he killed her but insisted he could not remember when or how it happened.
Noa, who was born as Djordje Milivojev and was active on social media, made her last post on Tik-Tok in a video, where somebody wrote to her that she was a ‘freak’.
Noa replied to the insults: “You are a freak? …. Okay, I am a freak …. but I am a girl.”
Neighbours of the suspect said a that they often saw him with different girls and that the last time they saw Noa they were arguing about the fact he had some of her things and had not returned them.

Several police patrols were on the scene together with members of the Criminal Police Directorate after the remains were found.
The investigation is ongoing.
