This is the moment a stunning 28-year-old woman climbs a mountain in a red evening dress with her long hair flowing free.

Irina Dishovska has two university degrees and runs her own transport business, and said she decided to climb the mountain in the evening dress to show women could combine being strong and successful with being beautiful.

The young woman, who was born and raised in the city of Tetovo in North Macedonia but now living in the capital Skopje, said: “Women are the fairer sex, but they are also strong.”

She is a keen climber and hiker, and a regular visitor to the Canyon Matka area, one of the country’s most popular outdoor destinations.

In the images, Irina is seen climbing one tall mountain in a bright red dress and while wearing no shoes.

Irina told Newsflash: “I don’t want publicity, I only wanted to send a message that women can wear a dress and be feminine, but also strong and independent at the same time.

“The idea came naturally for me because I love climbing. I went to Canyon Matka because it’s the most amazing place and I go there often.

“I climbed to the top in a dress and no shoes in about 40 minutes. I wasn’t scared at all. I didn’t look at the drone and at the end of the video, when I’m looking around at the top, I didn’t even realise the drone was still filming.

“When I’m wearing trainers, I can usually climb to the top in around 20 minutes.”

Irina told Newsflash that her two best friends Sasho and Goce Nikolovski were behind her while she was climbing.

She said: “They were my support team. While the drone was filming me, they remained close behind with water, clothes and footwear if I needed any help.

“I have climbed mountains in Greece and a 4,000-metre-high peak in the Italian Alps. I have climbed Mount Elbrus (the highest mountain in Europe) at 5,647 metres, that is even higher than Mont Blanc. It is the highest peak I have climbed.”

In late July, Irina completed the ‘Western Macedonian Transversal’, a 200-kilometre trek through the Western mountains of North Macedonia while wearing a 19 kilogramme backpack.

Irina, who has two university degrees including law, also runs her own transport business.
