Evil Ognjen Dabetic, 33, had reportedly regularly beaten teenage influencer Noa Milivojev, a transgender woman from Kovilj, a suburban settlement in the city of Novi Sad in Serbia.

He then allegedly murdered her and dissolved her corpse in acid, keeping her head and a piece of skin with a butterfly tattoo as a souvenir.

Boba Milivojev, her mother, posted a message on 11th August, which would have been Noa’s 19th birthday, speaking of her heartbreak at the loss of her daughter.

She wrote: “The sadness is growing! I can barely breathe! I miss you more and more every day.

“Another sleepless night is coming, you are no longer with us! My heart cannot understand that for you my dear I will suffer forever.

“Happy birthday to you, our child!”

The parents of Noa, Boba and Bata Milivojev, were also questioned in August at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office where they talked about Noa’s life with the suspected killer.

Her mum had previously told local media: “I think that man will be sentenced soon. I just hope that the sentence he receives will be adequate, and I mean a life sentence.

“All this reminds me again and again of that day on 6th July when I found out that my child had been dismembered.

“My chest aches with agony, but the fear of seeing that monster face to face soon only makes me even more anxious. I just see my child in a coffin, that’s the picture I have all the time in my mind.”

On the day she was murdered, Noa’s parents had banned her from travelling to the capital Belgrade and meeting Dabetic, saying he was frequently violent and that they were worried about her safety.

Boba said that she had forbidden her daughter from going to see her boyfriend.

She said: “We banned her from going to his place. But she was obsessed with him. If he would send a message with just one word saying ‘Come’ she was immediately there.

“I begged her and cried, and told her please don’t go, he does not respect you and he beats you, but she didn’t listen. The last time she said to me ‘No, I love my Ogi, I am going to him, I would give my life for him’.”

She added: ” Nothing matters to me anymore. My Noa has a twin brother. It’s hard for him, he tries to hold back, but he can’t accept that she was killed.”

The remains of Noa Milivojec were found in her boyfriend’s apartment in the Serbian capital Belgrade after she had been missing since June.

She was a popular influencer online and after he allegedly killed her, apparently using a cable, he dissolved all of her body in acid apart from her head, which he kept because he said he loved her.

And he also cut away a section of skin containing a tattoo of a butterfly that he also liked.

According to local media, he admitted that after dissolving the rest of her body in acid, he had thrown the butcher’s knife he had used in the Sava River.
