This is the kind of smoke that is only for people who really do have money to burn.

Because cigar specialist Sanja Lopar has created this massive new smoke wrapped from end to end in gold leaf.

The sensational cigar seems to be an echo of international chef Salt Bea’s eye-watering expensive gold leaf steaks which can cost up to GBP 1,450.

Each one has a coughing-fit inducing price tag of EUR 1,500 (GBP 1,280).

Now Sanja – from Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina – hopes her cigar’s distinctive luxury look could even win it a part in the next Bond movie.

Speaking to Newsflash she said: “The idea of the Golden Cigar is an idea I used to show excellence, Luxury and intended only for special people or events.”

She added: “I think the pinnacle of that ambition would be if it was chosen to be in the next James Bond movie.

“Of course, I don’t know how feasible that is, but I know that I am unique and that my cigars are intended for truly unique people.”

Sanja – the first woman cigar producer in Europe – hopes the deluxe corona will give her Lopar brand the Midas touch.

It already sells worldwide from Switzerland to Costa Rica but her favourite cigar is the gold-covered Wide Churchill.

She explained: “Wide Churchill got its name because it signifies its size and robustness and is associated with the great Winston Churchill.

“It is a symbol of strength, exceptionality and perfection, and it, like the other cigars from the Lopar collection, is very difficult to come by because I choose the places where it will be sold and it is impossible to find it in every cigar shop.

“This business is based on a hobby that my husband and I turned into a controlled business. We share the passion for this noble product with true aficionados.

“The complete Lopar International Cigar collection is made from the best tobacco leaves from Cuba, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic Republic, Peru, Honduras and Ecuador.

“Each cigar has its own an exceptional bouquet of aromas that differs from the others. Exclusive are completely handmade in an extra limited edition.

“Cigars are without any chemical additives or flavor enhancers and no undergo a fumigation process to destroy tobacco pests, they already undergo a minimum 78-hour deep-freezing process. I make them in limited editions because I want to preserve and offer it only to my most respected and exclusive clients.”

She added: “My dream and all my effort is to bring a certain note of uniqueness, elegance and forgotten values to the Cigar world, but with the stamp of a woman’s signature.”
